Corporate Responsibility (CR)

As a shariah compliant counter, Prestariang ensures that it 2.5% of annual profits towards charitable cases such as orphanages and other homes for the aged, infirmed and under privileged.

At Prestariang, we view CR as an integral part of our overall strategies to fundamentally strengthen our business while contributing to society at the same time. In view of the rising trend and being a socially conscious organisation, we are embedding CR into our operations and using it to attract and retain talents. Over the years, we have continued to refine our approach to CR.

Community Engagement through School Adoption Programme

With the support from our Board of Directors, Prestariang went one step aheads in its initiatives for CR Investment to adopt Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Manggis in Banting, Selangor.

On 5 May 2016, Prestariang inaugurated its first School Adoption programme with Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Manggis where 21 units of computers were donated to the school. Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Manggis, located in Banting Selangor, was established in 1903 and has a total of 438 students and 36 teaching staffs.

The donated computers were installed with the latest Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016 software. Along with the handover of computers, Prestariang helped to enhance the infrastructure of the existing computer lab for SK Sungai Manggis.

The School Adoption Programme is carried out by Prestariang under its corporate mission and vision to build a sustainable foundation to develop future talents for the global market. The Programme was carried out in aims of supporting Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Manggis with latest software and technology to help propel teacher and student learning through technologies.

Through planned activities which will be rolled out, we will establish the concept of a lifelong learning environment with the aim of developing talent through technology for students of this school. This will provide greater opportunities for the youth within the community. The school adoption programme enables us to identify and address any inequalities and inadequacies at this rural school in order to ensure positive learning experiences.

Prestariang has provided SK Sungai Manggis with IC Citizen training and certification program for 39 teachers. The programme was held from 30th May -2nd June 2016 whereby 34 teachers had passed and received the certification.

Yayasan Universiti Malaysia

Prestariang supports Yayasan Universiti Malaysia with the aim of providing students from the lower income group with opportunities to further their studies, which are focused on IT and related fields.

The Yayasan Universiti Malaysia Foundation was set-up to primarily provide financial aid to students from the lower income group. The Foundation identifies and supports deserving students to continue their studies in a broad range of IT specialist subjects. Selected students will have the opportunity to undergo either pre university, undergraduate or post-graduate studies to essentially pave the way for them to enhance their career paths in the industry.

The Foundation ensures sustainable and quality education to nurture the growth of high calibre IT professionals for the future.

Improve Shareholders' Values

At Prestariang, we clearly identify our stakeholders with various interest groups for transparent and accountable engagement. We understand the growing importance of stakeholder relations as a discipline in order to build long term relationships with our shareholders and the wider community.

Announcement of Quarterly Results

We engage regularly with stock analysts and fund managers where we conduct briefing sessions a day after the announcement date of each Quarterly Financial Results.



Apart from the planned Investor Relations (IR) activities for our stakeholders, Prestariang participated in various IR engagements locally and abroad. Since listing, Prestariang has participated in the annual Invest Malaysia Conference which is organised by Bursa Malaysia in collaboration with prominent local banks.

Dividend Policy

The Board acknowledges the importance of rewarding shareholders with stable dividend growth over time.

In line with the Board's intention to create value for shareholders through a committed dividend policy, the Board of Directors has resolved and approved in February 2016 that distribution of dividends of minimum 50.00% of PAT. However, such recommendation and payments of dividends will depend upon a number of factors, as follows:-

a) Availability of adequate distributable reserves and cash flows;
b) Operating cash flow requirement and financial commitments;
c) Anticipated future operating conditions, as well as future expansion, capital expenditure and investment plans; and
d) Any material impact of tax laws and other regulatory requirements.

Actual dividends proposed and declared may vary depending on financial performance and cash flow, and may be waived if the payment of dividends would adversely affect the cash flows and operations of the Group.

Our people drive the continuous growth of the Group through a culture of performance innovation from the roll out of its various products, professional services to advocating responsible and sustainable workplace practices.

We are committed to maintain the highest ethical standards for our customers, suppliers, employees, shareholders and the communities, in accordance with applicable laws and our Code of Conduct.

We believe in an "Engaged" workforce to ensure that employees are committed to the organisation's goals and values, motivated to contribute to organisational success, and are able at the same time to enhance their own sense of well-being. Workforce Engagement is part of our core activities where we ;

Promote continuous learning and development for the staff. We believe employees would be able to enhance their skills and competency level through identified training programmes. Prestariang contributes 1% of the total salary into Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF) for claimable training.

In addition, the Company also allocates between RM2,000 - RM3000/- per staff for external learning and development annually, and has a yearly training plan for in-house training programmes. We subscribed to an average of 5-6 mandays learning per year as part of our workforce engagement programme.

Emphasise on leadership development programmes specifically for potential successors to ensure future leaders are well equipped with the leadership management and are ready to take over the key positions within the organisation.

Provide suitable, comfortable and safe workplace and environment to ensure the staff has the right tools, equipment and facilities to perform their work. Flexible working time are allowed to accommodate staff needs and requirement within a specific guidelines. At the same time, we comply with the Malaysian labour laws with regards to working hours and public holidays. This policy addresses the elimination of excessive working hours/overtime.

Recognise and promote workforce diversity within the organisation. We aim to retain people with diverse background, religion, race, gender and age. We promote activities which encourage racial integration. We do not interfere with our employees' rights to perform their religious activities. This has improved workforce diversity and equal opportunities while eliminating religious, age, disability and gender discrimination.

We seek staff feedback via the Employee Engagement Survey (EES) every 2-3 years to enable us to understand staff requirements and see how the organization is performing as the "Employer"
